Lena Platonos – Balancers

Creative direction and full package design of Balancers, an album by the legendary Greek electronic musician Lena Platonos of previously unreleased material recorded between 1982-1985 released on Dark Entries Records. The lo-fi nature of these recordings reveal a sparse and eerie side of her music and poetry. Inspiration is drawn from Greek mythology and architecture, and the lyrics that evoke a soft sorrowful ambivalence towards love, life, and the passage of time. The use of reflective and lunar imagery echoes the shifting sense of self and femme subconscious in an out of balance. Dark and light shades of pink, her favorite color, also express this dual nature. The album and liner notes are bilingual and designed in Greek and English.
